The New Face of this Website

Many of you may have read my entry, “The Truth About This Website.”

That entry was a crisis of character and a turning point for me.  It brought to a head an internal battle I’ve been fighting ever since I started this site.  I wrote that article almost two weeks ago and I’ve been silent ever since.  I’ve been evaluating things and deciding where to go from here.  Yesterday I made some decisions and changes. The Truth About this Website

I have had enough. I am at my breaking point and I’m done.

I’ve had this internal conflict going on about this website.

On one hand, I am up to my eyeballs in debt. I was married to an abuser who left me deeply in debt and I’m holding on by a thread. One month we pay the phone bill and the next the electric. We are just barely staying a step ahead of total financial breakdown. And so, I decided to expand my income with this website. Except there’s a problem. Continue reading The Truth About this Website

Internet Etiquette for Beginners

I’ve been working on this site for just about two months now. As part of that, I subscribe to the feed of several other wedding sites – Christian and secular. It is good to keep my finger on the pulse of the wedding community as a whole.

Sometimes I get inspiration for new articles for my site from this.  I read something on a secular site and think, “Oh yeah, I need to cover that from the Christian perspective.”  Or, I read something on a Christian site and think, “No, I disagree with that.  I am going to write an article giving my perspective.”

Another reason I follow other sites is to ensure that my content is genuinely unique and valuable.  If my site is simply a mirror of what is already out there, everybody loses. Continue reading Internet Etiquette for Beginners
